Hawaii Meeting Rescheduled - See you on the Big Island in October of 2022
Our thanks to the Hilton Waikoloa and the Waikoloa Beach Marriott for the help in moving our meeting to 2022! We look forward to returning to the Big Island and these exceptional properties, and appreciate the partnership as we all long for the sunny beaches of Hawaii!

The 2020 Annual Meeting will now be Virtual!
While the 2020 RRS Annual Meeting is still many months away, the RRS Governing Council has made the important decision to transition the live meeting in Hawaii to an immersive virtual meeting that will occur over the same dates, October 18-21, 2020. This decision was based on our overwhelming concern for the safety and well-being of our members, invited speakers, exhibitors, staff, local island community and the families of all involved.

As president of RRS, I've seen first-hand what goes into planning a meeting of this magnitude over the past 18 months. Making this decision now allows us to focus our full efforts on providing a comprehensive and ground-breaking virtual meeting. The 2020 RRS Annual Meeting- Surfing Virtual Waves to World Class Science - will include a complete Annual Meeting experience from the Presidential Symposium, to the Plenary Session and Award Lectures; from Symposia to Topical Reviews; to an interactive Exhibit Hall, interactive networking opportunities and much, much more. Registrants will have 30-day open access following the Virtual Meeting in order to maximize learning and networking!

The scientific research presented at the Annual Meeting is an invaluable asset to the radiation science communities around the world. Our unwavering commitment to you is to disseminate this important research in an engaging way. The Program Planning Committee has already selected more than 80 educational sessions with interactive Q&A. The deadline to submit an abstract for poster or oral consideration is July 22. There will also be a brief late-breaking abstract submission period, which is scheduled to open on or around July 29th and close August 5th.

We will continue to update you as the plans for this meeting unfold. An FAQ is under development and will be shared with you and located on the RadRes meeting site. Additionally, headquarters will keep you informed through all our usual communication channels, including the social media platforms.

Although we will miss the opportunity to see each other face to face in Hawaii this fall, we look forward to delivering an excellent 2020 Annual Meeting experience. Thank you for all that you do for RRS. You have my deepest appreciation. I look forward to seeing you virtually with a spirit of Aloha!

Best regards,

Susan M. Bailey, PhD
RRS President
